DOE Awards Maui $300,000 for Electric Vehicle Planning

We are pleased to share that the Department of Energy has awarded Maui College funding for electric vehicle (EV) planning.  The project will publish a plan to develop and implement a permitting process, incentives, policies, and a renewable energy grid system analysis for the expeditious and sustainable deployment of EVs and charging infrastructure.  The plan will help provide a model that can be adapted for broader application across the State of Hawaii.  $299,963 has been allocated to fund the project.  Further detail can be read on Maui Now link, while a nationwide understanding of the DOE funding can be found on the DOE link below.
